The new design of Google - as we did






Two weeks ago, we. launched. an updated form of the search results page, and I would like to tell you what guided our design team. We have tried to take those things, which is famous for Google, and improve them, powerful technology, neat design, simplicity and cheerfulness. Our goal was to design, known to millions of people, it is better. It is hard to imagine a more exciting experience for a designer.

During development, we thought about what people expect from looking more and more. With the development of the Internet over the last decade they have become more complex queries, and as a consequence, there is a need for funds to get the answers to them. Our engineers have a lot of work to ensure that Google search trends and meet the changing needs of users. The objective of the last redesign, in particular, was to integrate all the latest tools and technologies on one page.

A common way enhance the functionality of the site is to add a panel with links to the left. We tried a variety of design options left panel and began to test them on users. in 2006. During testing, we realized that our users want more features, but not at the expense of simplicity to which they are accustomed to.

As a first step last May, we launched. panel of the Preferences Search. That could be turned on and off. The new logo has become lighter, brighter and easier to. On this basis, we have developed new icons and made hundreds of other small changes. For example, we facilitated the bottom of the page, removing the blue and underlining, making the colors brighter and extending the search. Despite the fact that I am very happy with the changes we have made, designer's work is never done. We are already testing the additional improvements, listening to your views.
